"Good and Brown" Toast
Why I Love This Recipe
After Mother got her electric range (she cooked on a wood stove until this time), it seems that she invariably burned the toast. She would scrape the burned part off the top of the toast and tell the grandchildren, "It's not burned. It's JUST GOOD AND BROWN".
Now the grandchildren never admit that anything is burned. It's just GOOD AND BROWN.
Ingredients You'll Need
1. Turn oven to broil
2. Spread bread with butter.
3. Toast in broiler until burnt. Scrape burned crumbs from top and exclaim, "It's not burnt. It's JUST GOOD AND BROWN!!"
