This is a family favorite, easy to do with kids, and quick!
Next to Girl Scout cookies (thin mints and samoas!), Mike loved chocolate, no-bakes, holiday traditions, and family.
He was an ally for social injustice, equity rights, and adopted a local squirrel outside his home - it would come inside to visit regularly, wander around, eat nuts he'd leave out for it, and wander away to return later.
Mike understood life, a good life, is about relationship and choice. We hope this dedication encourages us all to be more like Mike.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 ¾ cups white sugar
½ cup milk
½ cup butter
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup crunchy peanut butter
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
In a large saucepan mix sugar, milk, butter and cocoa over medium heat.
Bring to a boil, and boil for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, no longer! Stir constantly!
Remove from heat, add in peanut butter and vanilla and mix. Then add in oats and still until well combined.
Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper or parchment paper and let cool to firm up.
Store in a sealed container, and these will still taste great days later! If they last that long
