Ingredients You'll Need
For Dough- 250gm Rice Flour and Hot Water (as required )
For Filling-
(A) One Freshly Grated Coconut
(B) 100gm Milk Solids
(C) 150gm dried fig
(D) 100gm Almonds
(E) Jaggery Adjust According to Taste
(F) 1/4 tsp. Cardamom Powder
(G) A dash of nutmeg (to give a different dimension to the dish )
(H) Oil or ghee for deep frying
Directions
First kneed the dough in hot water so that the flour get cooked for once (as we don’t want that unpleasant rawness ) keep it aside for 10-15 min to rest. Mean while prepare the filling for this add all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix them well .now cut the dough in 7-8 small balls and roll each ball in to small circles (small rotis) now stuff each dough circle with coconut & anjeer filling then after mould each roti in to modak .lastly deep fry all modaks in oil or ghee according to taste. serve hot with a good garnish of pistachio and dried rose petals.
