APPLE COOKED PORK CHOPS

Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
1 Tbsp. butter
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. basil
4 to 6 pork chops
1 1/2 c. apple juice
1/2 bay leaf
1 medium apple, cored and sliced
1 Tbsp. flour
Directions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add
onions and saute until clear. Sprinkle with basil. Place pork
chops in skillet and brown on both sides. Add 1/2 cup of apple
juice and bay leaf, cover and let stew for 5 to 10 minutes.
Place a slice of apple on top of each pork chop, and add
remaining apple juice, allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Remove
chops from pan and add flour, stir until dissolved. (More
apple juice may be added at this point.) Place chops back in
juice and simmer until tender. Serves 4 to 6.
