APPLE ROLLY POLLY

Why I Love This Recipe
Since we all loved the chicken and beef rolly pollies when we were younger back in the day during the cold winter months, thought I might like this little sweet dish as well. well desserts ready. enjoy!
Ingredients You'll Need
1 3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
2 c. chopped apples
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; stir in shortening. Add milk; make a soft dough. Roll out as for biscuits. Mix apples, raisins, sugars, and cinnamon; spread over dough.
Roll as for jelly roll. Cut in 2-inch pieces; put in pan. Pour 3/4 cup water over rolls; bake at 400 degrees about 15 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
