Did you know that yellow potatoes are known for their naturally buttery flavor? This makes them an ideal accompaniment to savory dishes, without the need for added butter!
Ingredients You'll Need
2 petite sirloin steaks
4 yellow potatoes, washed
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 teaspoon salt, divided
1 teaspoon black pepper, divided
1 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for potatoes)
Directions
Preheat the air fryer grill to 400°F.
For the potatoes: While the grill preheats, dice the yellow potatoes into 1-inch cubes. In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and smoked paprika if desired.
Place the seasoned diced potatoes on one side of the air fryer grill and cook for 10 minutes.
For the steaks: Pat the petite sirloin steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub each steak with 1 tablespoon olive oil, then season both sides with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
After the potatoes have cooked for 10 minutes, move them to one side of the grill. Place the steaks on the grill on the other side and cook for 5 minutes. Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the internal temperature of the steaks reaches 135°F for medium-rare or 145°F for medium.
Remove the steaks from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
Meanwhile, ensure the potatoes are tender and crispy. Remove them from the grill.
Plate the steaks and serve alongside the crispy potatoes, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
