"Since the age of six, this is Alec's all time favorite. I always make two, one for the crowd, one for Alec. Originally, a Pampered Chef recipe with some additions."

Why I Love This Recipe

My son Alec would eat an entire layered dip by himself and still requests as one of his favorite recipes. It's a winner for tailgates and football parties.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 16 oz. can of re-fried beans, black beans are best
1 8 oz. package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup chopped black olives
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, snipped
1 tomato, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup of thinly sliced green onions with tops

Spread refried beans over bottom of oval or round baking dish.

In separate bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning, pressed garlic and mix well. Spread over beans. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over top.

Bake 15-18 minutes or until hot. (Or microwave on high 5-6 minutes)

Let cool slightly then sprinkle tomato, onions, olives and cilantro over top of dip.

Garnish with additional sour cream, if desired.

Pairs Well With

Serve with tortilla chips or fresh cut vegetables.
