Angel Biscuits
Why I Love This Recipe
Melt-in-your-mouth biscuits. Literally...-ish.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
Directions
Combine dry ingredients. Mix in shortening until mealy. Beat egg into milk and stir into flour mixture. Blend well. Drop from a spoon onto baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 17-20 minutes.
In addition: You can brush with melted butter immediately after removing from oven.
