Apple Crisp

Why I Love This Recipe
Like apple pie without the crust. Splurging on an apple peeler would halve the prep time.
Ingredients You'll Need
Base:
4 Honeycrisp apples
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
Topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oats
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup cold butter
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400° F.
Peel the apples and wring any excess juice into a jar. Slice into thin pieces, about 1 inch wide.
Combine the remaining base ingredients in a large bowl: white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and flour.
Add the apples to the dry ingredients and mix until the apples are evenly coated.
Pour the apple mixture into a casserole dish (no oil necessary).
Mix the topping ingredients together in a small bowl: flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and butter. Spread on top of the apple mixture.
Bake for 40 minutes, then let cool for another 10 minutes before serving.
