This is my favorite apple pie recipe! The topping is just delicious! I like to pair it with Vanilla ice cream! Yum!

Ingredients You'll Need
Apple Mix :
8 to 10 Rome and Cortland Apples
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbs flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs lemon juice
2 tbs butter (to place on top of apple mixture before baking)
Crumb topping:
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
2 sticks of room softened butter
1 tsp of cinnamon
Directions
Apple Mix:
Peel and core a mix of 8 to 10 Rome and Cortland apples
Slice them into tiny slices
Add:
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbs flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs lemon juice
Mix and stand to the side
Crumb topping:
Add:
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
2 sticks of room softened butter
1 tsp of cinnamon
*Mix with hands and shape into tiny balls and set aside
Final Preparation:
Use 2 10" Deep Dish Pie shells and fill with the above apple mixture and place 1 Tbs of butter on top of each pie.
Place the crumbs on top and cook for 50 minutes at 400.
Place pies on a cookie sheet to catch the juice.
If the crumbs start to get dark cover with foil.
