Ingredients You'll Need

Pastry for 8- or 9-inch two-crust pie
6-7 tart apples
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 nutmeg

Crumble:
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firm butter or margarine


Directions

1. preheat to 450 degrees


2. Prepare pastry as directed except roll 1 inch larger than 12- or 13-inch pizza pan


3. ease into pizza pan: flute edge.


4. do not pare apples, cut into about 1/2 inch thick slices


5. Beginning at the edge of the crust and overlapping slices, cover crust with apples.


6. Stor together sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; sprinkle over apple slices.


7. top with crumble topping.


8. Bake 30-40 minutes or until edges are golden brown and apples are tender.


9. Best served warm


10 (For crumble). Mix together crumble toppings until crumbly.
