Why I Love This Recipe

not your traditional Chex mix - this has a definite asian twist to it. My Auntie Alice who was a wonderful cook came up with this original recipe and I have only made my own small personal tweaks to it over the years

Ingredients You'll Need

1 1/4 c sugar
2c butter
12 drops garlic tabasco sauce
1 jar Furikake (japanese rice seasoning)
1 box Krispix cereal (your choice of type)
1/2 box cheerios
1 bag pretzel sticks
1 cup salted peanuts
1 small box arare (japanese rice crackers)

cook sugar, butter, and tabasco sauce

mix cereals, pretzels, and nuts

Pour butter mix over mixture and mix well

add half container furikake over top and mix

lay on cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes at 250 degrees

Toss mixture with the rest of the furikake and return to oven for another 30 minutes

Cool, then add arare (rice crackers)

Store in airtight container
