2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening or margarine
1/2 cup milk
3 cups oatmeal
6 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup sweetened coconut
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Boil first three ingredients together for 1 minute.
Mix together remaining ingredients, and add to milk & sugar mixture.
Mix well, and then drop by tsp on wax paper. Refrigerate to harden if necessary. Work quickly when mixing and dropping cookies or they may dry.
Can add cherry on top of each
