Why I Love This Recipe
I once asked a pen pal in the Baltics for a favorite doughnuts recipe, but what I received was a recipe that said, 2 soup ladels of sugar. Well, I had to figure out what that could mean, because there were different sizes of soup ladels, and gravy ladels, too. And this is what I came up with, essentially creating my own recipe.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 3/4 cup butter milk
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
4 teaspoons baking soda
some corn meal
some flour
Directions
Mix everything together, forming balls,
and bake in oil ( use a wok or deep fryer)
until done, turning once. Drain on paper towels.
