Why I Love This Recipe

While attending school we had dish to pass day. I have been making it now for almost 40 years! It has the best taste and can be used for breakfast, snack or dessert.

Ingredients You'll Need

6 Black Bananas
2Tbl warm water
2 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Grease a bundt pan or 2 loaf pans.

Preheat oven to 350

Beat Bananas until watery.

Mix warm water and soda together, then add to bananas and mix well.

Add eggs, sugar and oil and mix again until well blended.

Sift dry ingredients together and then add to banana mixture in 3 - 4 parts mixing well after each addition.

Stir in milk and chopped nuts.

Pour into greased pans and bake 1hour 15 minutes for bundt pan and 45 - 55 minutes for loaf pans.

Test with toothpick for doneness - should be clean.

Cool 10 - 15 minutes in pan and then turn out on cooling rack to finish cooling.
