Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons grated onion
3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
6 slices bacon, cooked and finely crumbled
¼ cup minced fresh parsley
¼ cup finely chopped almonds, toasted
Directions
1. Combine cream cheese and sour cream in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth. Add shredded cheeses, onion, pickle relish, horseradish, and seasonings; beat at low speed of electric mixer until well blended. Cover and chill thoroughly.
2. Combine bacon, minced parsley, and chopped almonds; stir well. Shape chilled cheese mixture into a ball; roll in bacon mixture, pressing bacon mixture into cheese ball with hands. Wrap cheese ball tightly in wax paper, and chill until ready to serve.
3. Allow to stand at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes before serving with assorted crackers.
