Why I Love This Recipe

This recipe combines some of my favorite flavors- bacon, artichokes and cream! Rich appetizer that is super easy to make!

Ingredients You'll Need

1 package of bacon
2 cans of artichoke hearts (quartered)
1/4 cup of Dijon mustard (not coarse variety)
1 cup of heavy cream
A few sprigs of fresh parsley
Toothpicks to use as skewers
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Fry bacon but remove from heat before it gets crispy. Remove from pan and set aside to cool.

Mix mustard with cream in a shallow pyrex dish and beat until creamy.

Take each slice of bacon and wrap around a single artichoke heart. Pierce the piece with a toothpick to hold it together. Place the bacon/artichoke pieces in the pyrex dish with the mustard/cream mixture.

Heat the broiler. Cook them under the broiler for about 10 to 15 minutes or until until the bacon is crispy, turning once.

Serve with sauce on a platter and garnish with fresh parsley.
