"Appetizer, baked brie"

Serves 4-6 | Prep Time 10 minutes | Cook Time 1 hour

Why I Love This Recipe

Fun way to liven up a dinner


Ingredients You'll Need

1-6" Brie wheel
1/4 c. dried cherries
1/4 c. pecans - toasted and chopped
2-3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 puff pastry sheet
1/2 egg beaten w 1 tsp. water


Directions

Cut brie in half w/knife; sprinkle bottom half with cherries, nuts, and sugar


Replace top half and apply pressure to seal and secure the stuffing


Working on well floured surface, roll pastry to fully cover brie; place brie in middle of pastry.


and fold excess around the wheel; if excess pastry roll out and make decorative cut outs; brush brie w/egg glaze and place decorations on top


Place baking sheet lined w/parchment


Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 min. or until pastry begins to turn golden brown.


Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for another 20 min.
