Serves 8 | Prep Time 10 - 15 minutes | Cook Time 45 minutes

Why I Love This Recipe

I came up with this as a way to prepare French Toast for a large number of people without having to stand at the stove all day.


Ingredients You'll Need

1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 loaf thick sliced bread
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
optional - peaches, apples or blueberries


Directions

combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in pan


cook until sugar is dissolved


pour into 9x12 cake pan


NOTE: if you opt to use fruit, layer it on top of the sugar mixture at this point


Lay down 2 layers of the thick sliced bread


Mix the eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon


Pour over bread


Cover and refrigerate overnight


Next morning bake at 350 for 45 minutes
