Baked Mac 'n' Cheese

Why I Love This Recipe
Mac 'n' cheese was invented in Southern Italy, so it should be no surprise that this is a favorite in my family! Enjoy.

Ingredients You'll Need
2 Tbsp butter
1 tsp dry mustard
8 oz (2 cups) elbow macaroni
2 Tbsp flour
2 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp salt
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
In saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter
Blend in 2 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon salt or less, 1 teaspoon dry mustard
Add 2 1/2 cups of milk slowly stirring constantly until sauce thickens a little and is smooth
Add 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted
Meanwhile, cook 2 cups of uncooked elblow macaroni as directed on package, about 7 minutes
Combine with sauce in a casserole dish
Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and 1/4 cup bread crumbs
Bake at 375 for about 20-25 minutes or until nicely browned and bubbly
