Why I Love This Recipe

This is a tasty and easy way to enjoy the classical doughnut.


Ingredients You'll Need

2 tbsp. butter, softned
1/8 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 tbsp. and 2 tsp. brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 and 1/3 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. milk


Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and grease doughnut pan with cooking spray.


In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter, vegetable oil, and sugars until smooth.


Add in egg, beating to combine.


Stir in the baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla.


Stir in the flour into the mixture alternately with the milk beginning and ending with flour making sure everything is combined.


Spoon the batter into the pan filling 1/4 inch shy of the rim.


Bake doughnuts for 10 minutes, remove and wait 5 minutes before turning them out of the pan.


Shake the warm doughnuts in a plastic bag filled with cinnamon sugar. (only if you want cinnamon sugar on your doughnuts)
