Why I Love This Recipe

I like this recipe because it is a cake like doughnut and you can put any glaze on the doughnut or topping.

Ingredients You'll Need

2 Tbsp. of butter (softened)
1/8 cup of vegetable oil
1/4 cup of granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. and 2 tsp. of brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 Tbsp. of baking powder
1/8Tbsp. of baking soda
1/4tsp. of nutmeg
1/4 Tbsp. of salt
1/2 Tbsp. of vanilla
1 1/3 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of milk

Directions

1.) Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and grease doughnut pan with cooking spray.

2.) In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter, vegetable oil, and sugars till smooth.

3.) Add in the egg, beat till combine.

4.) Stir in baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla

5.) Stir in flour into mixture alternately with the milk (Beginning and ending with flour) making sure everything is combined.

6.) Spoon the batter into the pan, filling a fourth of an inch shy of the rim.

7.) Bake doughnut for 10 min.; remove and wait 5 minutes before turning them out of the pan.

Pairs Well With

The doughnuts pair good with a glass of milk.
