Why I Love This Recipe

This delicious recipe comes from Grandma Sally's cookbook. You can always leave out the nuts if you don't like them.


Ingredients You'll Need

1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 cup nuts


Directions

Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add the eggs, beating well. Stir together the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture, alternating with the mashed banana. Blend well after each addition. Stir in (or not) the nuts.

Put into a loaf pan and bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
