Barbecue-Style Pork Ribs

Why I Love This Recipe
Your crockpot does most of the work to create this tasty rib recipe and everything is homemade.
Ingredients You'll Need
3 to 3 1/2 lbs. pork country-style ribs, cut crosswise in half and cut into 2-rib portions
1 cup catsup
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. bottled hot pepper sauce
Directions
Preheat broiler. Place ribs on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 6 inches from the heat until brown, about 10 minutes, turning once. Transfer ribs to a 3 ½-4 qt. crockery cooker.
In a small bowl combine catsup, onion, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, liquid smoke, garlic powder and bottled hot pepper sauce. Pour sauce over ribs, turning to coat.
Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 10 to 12 hours or on high-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours.
Transfer the ribs to a platter. If desired, skim fat from surface of sauce; pour sauce into a medium saucepan. Simmer sauce until reduced and thickened. Pass sauce with ribs.
