Basil Lemonade

Why I Love This Recipe
FEATURING: Basil and lemon.
A super quick, easy and refreshing lemonade that will get people talking... in a good way ;)
It also makes the best homemade slushie when you add ice cubes before blending. Recipe only slightly tweaked from Trois fois par jour: https://www.troisfoisparjour.com/en/recipes/beverages/lemonades-juices-iced-teas/basil-lemonade/
Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 cup (a large handful) fresh basil leaves
2 lemons, peeled
1/4 cup of sugar or maple syrup (I usually put less and go by taste)
1 liter (4 cups) of water
FOR SERVING (optional)
A few ice cubes
A few slices of lemons
A few small basil leaves or basil flower (for decorating)
Directions
Put all the ingredients in a blender. Blend at high speed for 2 minutes or until smooth.
FOR SERVING: If needed, strain as you serve into each cup. You can also add 2-3 ice cubes per glass and add a slice of cut lemon to each glass along with a small basil leave (or basil flower).
