Why I Love This Recipe

So as most of you probably know Macau used to be a Portuguese colony and the Portuguese culinary influence still prevails in Macau.

Ingredients You'll Need

3 1/3 cups potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup evaporated milk
2 cups butter
2 whole eggs
6 egg yolks
2 cups sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder


Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Beat together potatoes, coconut milk and evaporated milk. Add butter, whole eggs and egg yolks, and sugar; mix well. Stir in flour and baking powder. Pour into a casserole. Bake for about 1 hour. When knife is inserted in the center and comes out clean, the batada is cooked.
