Bean and Bacon Soup

An old time family favorite
Ingredients You'll Need
1 lb dried beans
8 cups water
1 lb chopped bacon
1 large chopped onion
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups chopped potatoes
1 cup chopped celery
2 large chopped tomatoes
Directions
Bring beans to a boil in 4 cups of water and boil for 45 minutes
Add remaining 4 cups of water and bring back to a boil
Saute bacon and onion in a skillet until lightly browned
Stir in the beans and simmer for 1 hour
