Why I Love This Recipe

This is an easy recipe and the meat is sooo tender.

Ingredients You'll Need

1/4 Cup all purpose flour
Ground Pepper
1 pound beef cut into cubes
5 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 T red wine vinegar
1 Cup Red Wine
4 Cups broth (bullion- chicken or beef)
1 Medium Onion, peeled and chopped
5 Medium Carrots, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch rounds
2 large potatoes, peeded and cubed
2 teaspoons of salt


combine flour and pepper in bowl and coat beef cubes.

heat oil in large pot. add beef browning on all sides.

remove browned beef and deglace pan with vinegar scraping the pan. Add the beef, broth and bring to boil- then reduce to simmer.

Cover and let simmer for 1.5 hours. Stirring every little bit.

Add onions and carrots and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.

Add Potatoes and simmer for 30 minutes or until veggies are tender.

If you need more liquid, add water or bullion. Add salt if using...
