Berry and Vanilla Cream Trifle

Why I Love This Recipe

Fresh berries is in abundance during the summer months, making them the perfect choice for party desserts. This beautiful trifle would be a welcome addition to any Memorial Day cookout, or 4th of July party! Let it become one of your favorite red, white, and blue summer recipes!


Ingredients You'll Need

1 Store-bought Butter Loaf Cake/Pound Cake (11.5 oz., sliced into cubes)
1 Box (6 serving size) Vanilla Instant Pudding
1 Tsp. of Vanilla
2 Cups Whole Milk
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1 Container (8 oz.) Cool Whip Frozen Whipped Topping
1 Lb. Fresh Strawberries (sliced and stems removed)
1 Pint (2 Cups) Fresh Blueberries


Directions

In a medium bowl, beat pudding mix, vanilla, milk and sour cream together until pudding forms. Cover and refrigerate.


In trifle bowl or large clear bowl, arrange one layer of sliced cake to cover the entire bottom. top this with a layer of pudding mixture, a layer of whipped topping, and then a layer of strawberries.


Repeat all layers, except use blueberries this time. Continue with layers until bowl is full.


Cover with plastic wrap; Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Brunch, 4th of July celebrations, and Champagne
