Why I Love This Recipe

This recipe came from my mom who got it from her neighbor in the '70's in Washington D.C. Whenever there were overripe bananas in our house, they suddenly turned into moist delicious banana bread. In college, my mom sent me banana bread which I had to hide from hungry roommates. I make it now and it's always a crowd pleaser and a pleasure to make.

Ingredients You'll Need

3 overripe bananas
2 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 stick melted butter
1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately, then combine.

Pour into loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after poking it in the middle.
