Why I Love This Recipe

Ingredients You'll Need

2 cups Flour
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Sugar
1/3 cup Butter
1 cup Milk

Directions

Oven Temperature: 425°F

*Preheat oven to 425 degrees; in large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar

*Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse meal; gradually stir in milk until dough pulls away from side of bowl

*Turn out onto a floured surface, kneed a few times, and roll out to 1 inch thick

*Cut biscuits with a large cutter or juice glass dipped in flour

*Repeat until all dough is used

*Brush off excess flour and place biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet

*Bake about 12-14 minutes or until edges begin to brown

Recipe Tips:

*Be sure to use cold butter

*You can brush tops with butter before and after cooking for extra butter flavor

*It is ok to cook biscuits close together as it will just make them softer, and there is nothing wrong with soft biscuits!
