Broiled Ahi with Mango Papaya Relish

This is a delicious and healthy dish, which can be served with Brown Rice Pilaf and steamed vegetables.

Ingredients You'll Need

2 ripe papayas peeled
4 ripe mangoes, peeled
1 red bell pepper
1/4 medium-size red onion
16 sprigs cilantro
1 pound Ahi steaks
1 lemon
4 limes


Dice the peeled mangoes and papayas into 1/2 inch cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Dice the red pepper and onion into 1/4 inch strips. Dice and coarsly chop the cilantro. Mix all ingredients, including fish, together. Squeeze both the lemon and limes over the mixture and season to taste. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove fish with a slotted spoon, saving the mango/papaya mixture. Broil the fish steakes about 1/2 inch from the flame, turning once until they are opaque. Sprinkle several spoonfulls of mango/papaya mixture over each plate before serving. Yellowtail tuna also can be substuted.
