Why I Love This Recipe

I got this from my best friend. I don't know where he got it from but I like it a lot. lucas hess

Ingredients You'll Need

3.5 oz Sweet German Chocolate
1 TBS butter
2 eggs
1/4 cup Bakers sugar
1 1/4 cups unsifted all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract, please use real vanilla-the artifical stuff makes things taste off flavor
1 cup chopped pecans
5 drops either lavendar, orange or espresso essence.
36 pecan halves

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter. Set aside to cool.

Beat eggs until they are foamy then gradually add sugar, scraping the sides of the bowl, until the mixture thickens.

Blend in the chocolate, beat for at least 30 seconds or until well mixed.

Add flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

Beat until batter is smooth.

Add vanilla and your choice of essence plus the chopped pecans.

Mix until nuts are well distributed and no sign of the vanilla or essence remains.

Drop by tsp full onto a buttered cookie sheet.

Top each with a half pecan.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

Cool slightly before removing from sheet.

I use two cookie sheets, one cooling while the other bakes.

I also normally make a double batch of these.
