1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup (5 1/2 tbsp) unsalted butter, cut into pieces

1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 F
In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and the salt
In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and the chocolate
Stir in the sugar
Add the eggs and vanilla
Mix well
Add the flour mixture
Mix until blended
Stir in the pecans
Drop the dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 8-10 minutes
Cool completely on a wire rack
