Brownies with Orange Icing

Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 cup Shortening
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Cocoa Powder
2 cups Sugar
4 Eggs
1 Tbsp Fresh Orange Zest (optional)
2 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Butter
1 Tbsp Fresh Orange Zest
1/2 tsp Clear vanilla extract or vanilla powder
2 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
2 Tbsp Fresh squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Oven Temperature: 350°F
Brownies:
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease 13x9 pan
*Melt shortening and butter in the microwave; stir in cocoa, blending well with a wooden spoon
*Add sugar and mix well; add eggs one at a time, beat well by hand after each addition (it is important to add the eggs individually and to mix them by hand after each addition
*Stir in zest and vanilla; add flour and salt - DO NOT OVER BEAT
*Bake 25-30 minutes; cool completely before icing
Icing:
*Cream butter and zest then add vanilla 2. Add sugar a cup at a time beating on medium speed 3. *Add orange juice 1 Tbsp at a time and beat on high until completely blended 4. Frost cooled brownies

Drizzle:
*Melt chocolate in the microwave and drizzle over icing and cut into bars
