Butter Beer Bread - Meghan W. - LEU
Why I Love This Recipe
This is the easiest and quickest recipe! It’s like magic…a couple of ingredients and BOOM you have bread! During quarantine, I shared this recipe with my Dad and we made it together over video (picture included). It was the first time he had ever baked!
Ingredients You'll Need
3 cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup sugar (you can substitute honey)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 bottle beer (12 ounces)
1 stick of butter melted (unsalted or salted)
You can use any type of beer. A darker beer will create a bread with a stronger beer flavor, while a light beer makes a mild bread. You can also incorporate additional herbs and spices, based on your preference. This recipe is really easy and you can make it your own!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add the beer into the dry ingredients until just mixed.
Pour half of the melted butter into the loaf pan.
Spoon the batter into the loaf pan.
Pour the remaining butter on top of the batter.
Bake for 50 minutes until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
