Butterscotch Brownies

Why I Love This Recipe
This is a recipe from the book "Christmas Cookies" issued by Oxmoor House
Ingredients You'll Need
2 (6 ounce) packages butterscotch morsels
1/2 cup butter or margarine
4 eggs
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 cups chopped pecans
Directions
Melt butterscotch morsels and butter in top of a double boiler over simmering water
Remove from heat
Combine eggs and sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
Add to creamed mixture
Stir well
Stir in butterscotch mixture and pecans
Pour into a lightly greased 15x10x1 inch jellyroll pan
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
Cool completely in pan
Cut into 2 inch squares
Store in airtight containers
