Butterscotch Chip Cookies
Why I Love This Recipe
I got this recipe when I was in high school and I've been making them every Christmas since I got married. They are my daughter's favorite cookie!
Ingredients You'll Need
1 1/3 cups shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 pkg. (2 cups) butterscotch chips
Directions
Cream shortening, sugar and brown sugar. Stir in eggs. Mix in vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Stir in butterscotch chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
