Why I Love This Recipe

The cupcake came 200 years ago America’s Emelia Simmons was the first to make a cupcake.

Cupcakes are a type of miniature cake that comes in flavors like vanilla, chocolate to red velvet. They are made smooth with eggs or butter. These are quite different from muffins. Muffins are relatively hard, cupcakes are silky and soft. The first mention of the cupcake is found in the year 1796 when Emelia Simmons presented the recipe in the book ‘American Cookery’.
