"Caesar Cardini's original recipe for Caesar Salad courtesy of Julia Child. Serve with GF Crusty French bread."

Serves 4-6 | Prep Time 10-15 minutes PT13M | Cook Time PT13M | Lettuce/Vegetable

Why I Love This Recipe

Caesar Salad is a favorite in our house. This dressing is so good and so easy to make, you'll never buy the bottled Caesar again.

Ingredients You'll Need

For the dressing:
1 egg
2-4 cloves of garlic, minced (you choose how much garlic you like)
1 T. lemon juice (about 1/2 of a fresh lemon)
1/2 t. freshly ground sea salt
1/2 c. EVOO
1/4 c. parmesan, grated
For the salad:
2 heads of romaine lettuce, cut according to your preference
For the garnish:
crusty French bread either buttered and toasted in the oven and served alongside salad, or made into croutons, your preference.
shaved parmesan cheese to taste

Directions

Use your blender to make the Caesar dressing. In the blender container place an egg, the garlic, salt, and lemon juicle. Blend. Remove cap of blender, turn blender on and slowly add olive oil. Add parmesan and pulse until incorporated. Set dressing aside in fridge until ready to serve. When ready to serve, put romaine in a large salad bowl top with dressing as you desire and toss well. Sprinkle with shaved parmesan and croutons (if desired) or serve crusty french bread on the side. Serve immediately.
