Why I Love This Recipe

(Previously shared by Maureen Hollingsworth - retired HR)

Ingredients You'll Need

Baby cakes grill
Cake mix
Vegetable spray
Candy wafers
Pop sticks

Directions

Mix a standard cake mix, prepare as directed, except us 1/2 the water recommended. Spray and brush vegetable spray on Baby Cakes grill. When the grill lights up it is hot enough to add the batter. Fill the cup, be sure not to overfill. Bake 4 to 5 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake pop comes out clean. Remove and let the cake cool. Continue the process for the remaining quantity.
Use candy wafers for coating. In a microwave safe bowl microwave 1 package of Candy at 40% power or use the defrost setting for 1 minute. Stir thoroughly and continue to microwave and stir in 30-second intervals until smooth and completely melted. Next take the pop stick and dip it in the melted candy to get a nice round end. Then insert the stick in the cake pop and rest on a flat surface. Pops should be frozen for 10 minutes this helps the pop set up with the stick and become sturdier. The next step is insert the cake pops into the candy coating one at a time and move them around till the pop is covered. Add sprinkles before candy coating dries. It is recommended to keep them in the refrigerator until a few hours from serving time.
