18 caramels
1/3 cup butter
2 tbsp milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chopped salted cashews
Directions
In a saucepan, cook and stir the caramels, butter, and milk over low heat until the caramels are melted and the mixture is smooth
Remove from the heat
Stir in the sugar
Stir the eggs and vanilla into the caramel mixture
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt
Stir into the caramel mixture until blended
Fold in the cashews
Transfer to a greased 9 inch square baking pan
Bake at 350 for 24-28 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean
Cool on a wire rack
Cut into bars
