2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
6 tablespoons melted butter
1 bag (14 oz.) caramels
1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk
2 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla


Combine crumbs and butter--press into bottom and sides of 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 350ºF for 10 minutes, remove from oven

Melt caramels and milk in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently, until smooth. Pour over crust. Top with pecans. Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla; mix at medium speed until well blended. Add

eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour over pecans. Bake at 350ºF for 40 minutes. Chill. Remove rim of pan.
