Carl’s Cabbage Cream Pie

Ingredients You'll Need
Filling Ingredients:
3 T butter
1 onion
1 small cabbage
1/8 tsp Shredded basil, marjoram, tarragon
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 lb mushrooms
4 oz cream cheese
4 or 5 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
Dill
Pastry Ingredients:
1-1/4 C flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 T butter
4 oz. cream cheese
Directions
Directions: Filling:
Melt 2 tablespoons butter
Add onion and cabbage
Add 1/8 tsp. of spices, salt and pepper
Cook until cabbage wilts
Set cabbage mixture aside.
Sauté mushrooms.
Directions: Pastry:
Sift dry ingredients.
Cut in butter.
Work in cream cheese.
Roll out 2/3 in pie shell.
Save 1/3 for top.
Directions: Assembly:
Fill pastry shell with cream cheese
Add the egg, dill, cabbage, mushroom
Top with pastry.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes (or at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes).
