Ingredients You'll Need
3 cup chopped fresh broccoli florets
Three 1/4 cup of milk
One 14.5 oz can chicken broth
Two 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
6 tbsp butter
1 finely chopped green onion
1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 cup all purpose flour + 2 tbsp
salt and pepper
Directions
1. In a pot over medium heat, melt butter. Once melted add the onions and cook, stir often until almost tender (about 4-5 minutes)
2. Stir in the garlic and flour, cook for one minute. Gradually whisk in the milk then the chicken broth.
3. Add the broccoli and stir frequently until broccoli is tender (6-8 minutes)
4. Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the heavy cream, followed by the cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Mix until cheeses are melted. Season with salt and pepper then serve.
