"Cheese Burger, Main Entree"

Serves 4 servings | Prep Time 10 minutes | Cook Time 20 minutes

Why I Love This Recipe

This does not take long to cook and is really good.

Ingredients You'll Need

500 g beef mince
1 egg
2 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tbsp oil
4 soft hamburger buns
1 brown onion, peeled, and shaved into very thin rings - can have raw or cooked
4 slices cheddar or tasty cheese
½ cup sliced dill pickles

Mix mince, egg, salt, pepper and garlic together until fully incorporated then make four equal portions and roll them into balls. Squash the balls and gently mold them into four "quarter-pound" patties the same size as your burger buns. Chill the patties in the fridge for at least 10 minutes.

Heat a large frying pan or barbecue hotplate and brush it with a little oil.

Cut the buns in half and place them, cut-side down, directly onto the hotplate then place patties onto the hotplate flipping to make sure they cook evenly and toughly.

Add a small amount of shaved onion to the top of the patty then add a slice of cheese to the top of the patty.

Cook the patty for a further minute or two until the cheese is melted. once everything is cooked assemble as desired

Serve with pickles and condiments and any other food you desire.

Pairs Well With

I would serve this with any side dish. Burgers usually go well with fries or anything like that.
