Cheesy Potatoes (aka "Funeral Potatoes"

Classic family breakfast casserole, pot-luck dish, and yes...funeral or wake recipe.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 12-oz packages of frozen hashbrowns (cubed or shredded)
2 cups sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder (optional)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2-3 cups corn flakes (crushed)
1/2 cup melted butter (yes, another!)
Directions
Thaw potatoes and drain if necessary
Mix sour cream, soup and butter well
Add salt, onion and cheese to soup mixture
Add potatoes to soup mixture and mix until combined well; add to 9x13 casserole dish
Top with crushed corn flakes, covering with second 1/2 cup of melted butter
Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes, uncovered
