This recipe is a people pleaser. Versatile and add-on friendly, you can add all sorts of things like broccoli and veggies to it and it will still be absolutely delicious. Easy and made in one pan, it has such amazing creamy ranch flavor. This meal will be a hit with the whole family and not be a bummer on your braces. (Be sure that if you do add veggies that they are thoroughly cooked to avoid too much crunch. Too-raw veggies CAN be a bummer on you brackets.)
Ingredients You'll Need
1 Lb. Chicken breast ( pre-cooked and shredded)
8 Slices of Bacon ( cooked and crumbled)
1 Packet Dry Ranch Seasoning
1/2 Box (8 oz.) Penne Noodles
2 Cups Half and Half
1 1/2 Cups of Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
1 1/2 Cups Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
Fresh/Dried Parsley
2 Cups of Chicken Broth
2 Cups of Broccoli Florets ( stalks removed, optional)
Directions
In a medium sized skillet, cook the bacon until crisp, remove with slotted spoon and then set aside on a plate. Add the chicken, cook until brown and no longer pink. Set aside on the plate. Drain the remaining grease.
Add chicken broth, half and half, dry ranch seasoning mix to the skillet and whisk. Add the penne pasta and broccoli then bring to a boil and cover. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Stir in the cheese and chicken and stir until cheese is melted and heated through.
