1 cup rolled oats
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup green maraschino cherries, halved
1/2 cup red maraschino cherries, halved
1 cup pecan halves
Lower oven to 325 degrees.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9" x 13" pan.
Mix together first five ingredients in bowl. Cut
butter in with pastry blender until crumbly.
Press into pan; bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from
oven and cool.
Combine first nine ingredients for topping in bowl; mix well.
Spread topping over cooled base.
Sprinkle pecan halves over top.
Return to oven and bake for 30 minutes longer
