Chicken Bacon Sub Sandwich

Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
4 small Italian Loaves, Or Bread Of Choice
1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
8 med Romaine Lettuce Leaves
1/2 lb Center Cut Bacon
6 slices Provolone Cheese, Or Cheese Of Choice
2 Tbsp Butter, Melted
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Directions
Oven Temperature: 400°F
*Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
*Cut the chicken in half to reduce thickness and will cook quicker
*Heat the oil in pan; mince or crush garlic and add to oil; cook chicken in garlic oil (or use leftover cooked chicken)
*Add oregano, salt & pepper; cook until thoroughly done; remove and let cool
*Once cooled to touch, slice chicken into strips (if desired)
*Heat pan to medium-high; cut slices of bacon in half and cook until crisp; let drain on paper towel lined plate
*Carefully slice the bread horizontally so it will open, but leave a hinge on the back so it will stay together (sometimes that doesn't work though and that's fine too)
*Brush the inside with butter and place in oven for 5 minutes to warm and toast
*Remove from oven and add a layer of chicken, bacon, and cheese
*Return to oven until cheese is melted
*Cut lettuce and press in the middle to flatten a bit; add lettuce and any other veggies of choice to sandwich
*Slice and serve
